16 September, Cairo, Egypt – The 17th Meeting of the AfCFTA Council of Ministers opened in Cairo under the chairmanship of Hon. Eng. Hassan Al-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt.

In his opening remarks, H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, stressed the urgent need to shift from negotiations to implementation, noting that the AfCFTA is Africa’s response to current geopolitical challenges through industrial development, while ensuring that no country is left behind.
