Accra, Ghana, 4 November 2025. H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, received a courtesy visit from the Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng, Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Central Region, Republic of Ghana.

The visit served to brief the Secretary-General on progress made in establishing the Gomoa Central Special Economic Zone and to explore potential areas of collaboration between the Secretariat and the constituency.

H.E. Mene commended Hon. Obeng for his vision and foresight in championing economic development initiatives within his constituency and assured him of the Secretariat’s support in realising the objectives of the Gomoa Central Special Economic Zone.
