10 April, Accra, Ghana — AfCFTA Secretary-General, H.E. Wamkele Mene, met with Ambassadors of European Union Member States to the Republic of Ghana, where he provided an update on the progress of AfCFTA implementation.
During the meeting, the Secretary-General expressed appreciation to the European Commission for its continued and invaluable technical and financial support to the AfCFTA Secretariat, particularly through the EU Technical Assistance Facility (EU-TAF).
This cordial and strategic engagement provided an important platform to deepen dialogue on key priorities for AfCFTA implementation, especially within a global context marked by evolving economic and trade dynamics.
The Ambassadors welcomed the opportunity for the exchange, commended the Secretary-General on the progress achieved to date, and reaffirmed their strong support and commitment to the successful implementation of the AfCFTA.
