15 September, Cairo, Egypt – Ahead of the AfCFTA institutional meetings, H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, held a consultative meeting with H.E. the Minister of Trade and Investment of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Secretary-General provided an update on the implementation of the AfCFTA. Discussions reaffirmed the commitment to concluding the outstanding Rules of Origin, strengthening transport and logistics, and leveraging digital technologies to advance Africa’s economic integration.
