Mozambique Gazettes Its AfCFTA Tariff Concessions

Accra, Ghana, 10 July 2025 – The AfCFTA Secretariat congratulates the Republic of Mozambique on the gazetting of its AfCFTA Provisional Schedule of Tariff Concessions (PSTCs).

Gazetting, or domesticating, a trade commitment is a critical step in implementing the AfCFTA Agreement. It signifies an official announcement that informs businesses, organisations, and citizens of new regulations coming into force, thereby enhancing transparency and legal certainty.

For the private sector, this development confirms that Mozambique will apply preferential tariff treatment to eligible goods imported under the AfCFTA framework, in accordance with its commitments.

This milestone strengthens Mozambique’s integration into the AfCFTA and supports the broader goal of creating a unified African market.
