Luanda, Angola, 24 June 2025 – The AfCFTA Secretary-General, H.E. Wamkele Mene, paid a courtesy call on H.E. João Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola and Chairperson of the African Union Assembly.

The meeting focused on the progress of AfCFTA implementation, evolving global trade dynamics, and key outcomes from the April 2025 Ministerial Meeting held in Kinshasa. The engagement reaffirmed the African Union’s leadership commitment to advancing the AfCFTA and the shared vision of creating One African Market.
