Accra, Ghana, 24 March 2025 – H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, today received H.E. Javier Niño Pérez, European Union Ambassador to the African Union Commission, and his delegation at the AfCFTA Secretariat.

The meeting focused on strengthening EU-Africa trade relations and identifying potential areas of collaboration under the AfCFTA framework. Discussions explored opportunities for strategic engagement that support the development of a unified African market and promote inclusive, sustainable trade between the two regions.

The visit reflects the shared commitment to deepening intercontinental cooperation and advancing mutually beneficial trade and investment partnerships.
