Accra, Ghana, 24 March 2025 – H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, met with H.E. Engr. Oluseyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State, to explore opportunities for collaboration in market access and trade finance under the AfCFTA framework.

The meeting focused on leveraging the AfCFTA to unlock regional trade potential and support economic development objectives aligned with the broader goals of the Agreement. Discussions included strategies to enhance participation in intra-African trade and identify avenues for public-private engagement in trade finance.

The engagement reaffirmed the critical role of State Parties in advancing the implementation of the AfCFTA and fostering inclusive economic integration across the continent.
