Accra, Ghana, 8 February – H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, received Mr. Mory Diane, CEO of Scanning Systems, a leading African company pioneering the development and operationalisation of e-Joint Border Posts. These border posts are critical for streamlining trade, transit, and security at the borders.

The discussions focused on collaboration in Trade Facilitation, Transit, and Customs Cooperation under the AfCFTA framework. Strengthening these areas is essential for ensuring efficient trade flows and improving cross-border operations within the AfCFTA.

The meeting reaffirmed the Secretariat’s commitment to enhancing trade efficiency and supporting initiatives that contribute to the smooth implementation of the AfCFTA.
