AfCFTA Secretariat and Chad’s Ministry of Trade and Industry Convene Private Sector Workshop and Youth Forum

N’Djamena, Republic of Chad, 23 February 2026 – The African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat, in partnership with the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Chad, convened a Private Sector Workshop and Youth Forum aimed at strengthening the engagement of businesses and young people in Chad’s participation in the AfCFTA.

The programme was officially opened with remarks from the Secretary-General of the AfCFTA, the Minister of Youth of the Republic of Chad, and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Chad, underscoring a shared commitment to inclusive trade, youth empowerment, and expanded economic opportunity under the AfCFTA framework.The workshop featured technical sessions focusing on Chad’s status under the AfCFTA, customs rules and procedures, the AfCFTA Digital Trade Protocol, the critical role of Africa’s private sector in driving continental trade, and implementation support mechanisms provided by African Export-Import Bank.

Announcement on Startup Selection Results – Startup Partnership Program 2026

Thank you for your interest in the AfCFTA Secretariat & Korea-Africa Foundation Startup Partnership Program 2026.

We are pleased to announce that the application review process has been completed. This year’s program attracted a large number of high-quality applications from startups across Africa, resulting in a highly competitive selection process.

Selected startups have been notified individually via email. Detailed information regarding the upcoming Global Audition Evaluation will be shared with them separately.

Please note that only selected applicants will receive direct notification. Due to the high volume of applications received, individual notifications will not be sent to applicants who were not selected for this stage.
