Kigali, Rwanda – 10 October 2024 – H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, met with Mr. Bashir Adeniyi Adewale, Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service, on the margins  of  BiasharaAfrika2024. The discussion focused on the need to enhance awareness of the AfCFTA in Nigeria. The Comptroller-General pledged to partner with the AfCFTA Secretariat in raising awareness of the agreement across Nigeria, ensuring that businesses and stakeholders are well-informed about its opportunities.

This collaboration will be key to advancing Nigeria’s participation in the AfCFTA and unlocking the benefits of intra-African trade for the country.
