Accra, Ghana, 3 November 2025. H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, received the Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Customs Service and his delegation at the Secretariat.

The Comptroller-General briefed H.E. Mene on the forthcoming Customs Business Dialogue, endorsed by the President of Nigeria and scheduled for 17 November 2025 in Abuja. The Dialogue aims to address identified gaps in the implementation of the AfCFTA and strengthen collaboration among customs administrations across the continent.

H.E. Mene welcomed the initiative and encouraged continued coordination through the AfCFTA Committee of Heads of Customs, underscoring the importance of harmonised customs procedures in advancing intra-African trade.
