Dakar, Senegal, 8 October 2025 – On the margins of the Invest in Senegal Forum, H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, paid a courtesy visit to H.E. Bassirou Diomaye Faye, President of the Republic of Senegal.
The Secretary-General briefed the President on the state of play of AfCFTA implementation. Their discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between Senegal and the AfCFTA Secretariat to accelerate the implementation of the Agreement, including the development of a national AfCFTA programme and initiatives to advance digital trade.
