Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire | 13 May 2025– At the Africa CEO Forum (ACF), H.E. Wamkele Mene underscored that now is the best opportunity Africa has ever had to accelerate trade and investment.

Amid global supply chain disruptions and declining multilateralism, he called for building Africa’s domestic market, with the private sector as the key pillar.

As a call to action, he urged financial institutions to reduce the cost of finance for SMEs and recognise them as a vital asset class.
