Abu Dhabi, UAE, 7 April 2025 – H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, participated in a high-level panel at the 2025 AIM Congress on the theme “The Future of Globalization: Balancing Local and Global Dynamics.”
In his intervention, the Secretary-General underscored the importance of aligning Africa’s investment priorities with prevailing market realities. He called for targeted investment in sectors that strengthen domestic markets and foster regional value chains as a pathway to sustainable growth.
H.E. Mene reaffirmed the AfCFTA’s role in boosting investor confidence and serving as a cornerstone for deeper cooperation within the Global South.
