Accra, Ghana, 25 March 2025 – H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the AfCFTA Secretariat, received a delegation from the Africa Engineering Organisations, led by its President, Eng. Refilwe Buthelezi.
The meeting reviewed progress on the implementation of the 2023 Memorandum of Understanding between the AfCFTA Secretariat and the Organisation. Key areas of focus included the harmonisation of engineering standards across the continent, mechanisms for dispute settlement within the engineering sector, and advancing infrastructure development in support of Africa’s trade integration agenda.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration in fostering an enabling environment for industrialisation and infrastructure-led growth under the AfCFTA framework.
