Accra, Ghana, 14 March 2025 – The AfCFTA Secretariat has successfully concluded the four-day Consultative Meeting on Ratification and Entry into Force of the AfCFTA Agreement in Accra, bringing together legal and trade experts to advance the ratification and implementation of the Phase II protocols.
The meeting focused on unifying the ratification process by developing a forward-looking framework that considers national interests, legal nuances, and outstanding provisions that were not initially engaged in earlier negotiations.
By fostering clarity and inclusivity, the discussions aimed to prevent selective implementation and ensure the full adoption of all protocols and annexes, further strengthening the legal foundation of the AfCFTA Agreement.
