In his remarks, H.E. Mene emphasised the crucial role of digital trade in fostering financial inclusion, secure data transfers, and economic growth under the AfCFTA. He underscored the importance of leveraging technology to strengthen Africa’s digital economy and ensure broader participation in intra-African trade.
